Magic Bars
These bars taste like the best candy bar or cookie bar ever. Easy peasy!
2 pkgs of graham crackers, crushed finely (i use Honey Maid, each pkg has 9 rectangular crackers)
1/2 cup butter, melted (1 cube)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. shredded sweetened coconut
1 c. pecans, almonds, or walnuts, chopped
1 c. chocolate chips (flavor of choice)
Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13 pan.
Make crust by pouring melted butter and graham cracker crumbs into the 9x13 pan and stirring around until evenly saturated with the butter, and then spread into an even layer and press tight.
Pour can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust. *Then sprinkle on the coconut, nuts, and chocolate chips.
Bake for 30 minutes or until top and bottom are lightly browned. This has to cool completely before eating. Otherwise it will burn you and fall apart.
*Use those toppings in desired amounts. All toppings are optional. Leave out the chocolate chips and it is still amazing! Or use white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or marshmallows instead. I think it would be best to drizzle melted chocolate on after it comes out instead of using chips. Just know that the bars stay together best if toppings have some contact with the sweetened condensed milk. If not, toppings may fall off when trying to eat it.
