Yams (Sweet Potatoes)

Usually we get orange, but I found these purple yams that are SO purple they almost look fake- like play dough or something. They are super delicious, and this is just a reminder that carbs aren't bad for you if they are a whole food packed with nutrients. Purple, Orange, or White yams or sweet potatoes are terrific for you and if you eat them roasted they are sweet like candy. Chef AJ would say to add a bunch of steamed broccoli and you have a very healthy satisfying meal!
