Easy Whole Wheat Biscuits- from 100 days of Real Food



Makes 8 biscuits

2 c. ww flour (I use King Arthur)
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 Tbsp cold butter (can use Earth Balance non-dairy)
1 c. cold plant milk
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine dry ingredients. Grate butter into dry ingredients or use food processor. Stir together and then add milk and mix together thoroughly but be careful not to overwork the dough.  Roll out and cut with canning lid or just drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet and flatten.  Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

My kids aren't real fans of biscuits. I love them! And this healthy recipe is delicious!
