Rainbow Jello Dessert- 7 layers

This is a really pretty summer dessert. Fun for a large family type gathering with lots of kids. Buy the Jell-O a couple weeks before you need it because sometimes they don't have all the colors (in the picture I could only find these colors- with strawberry and cherry on top which look the same!)

3oz Grape Jello pkg

3oz Berry Blue Jello pkg

3oz Lime Jello pkg

3oz Lemon Jello pkg

3oz Orange Jello pkg

3oz Strawberry or Cherry Jello pkg

3oz Black Cherry Jello pkg

You will want to make this the day before you need it. It is easy, but will take all day to do the 7 layers.

You need a DEEP 9x13 pan, lightly sprayed. 

Pour the contents of the Grape Jello pkg into a medium sized bowl and stir in 1 1/4 cups of boiling water. 

Next stir in 1/4 cup of cold water and 1/3 cup of sour cream. Whisk until no lumps of sour cream remain and refrigerate 2 hours until firm. 

Repeat with each color, pouring the new color gently on top of the firm previous color until you have all 7 layers of the rainbow. Chill overnight. 

To serve, cut squares and serve with a dollop of whip cream on top. You can totally mix up the colors, or do less layers.
