Dinner Salads w/Spaghetti Factory Dressing
(everything is optional)
1 head iceberg or romaine lettuce, chopped
purple cabbage, chopped finely
sliced carrots
3 strips of bacon cooked until crisp and crumbled
1 c. frozen peas, thawed in cold water, and drained
Swiss cheese, cut into strips
chopped green or red onions
cherry tomatoes or regular tomatoes
croutons
Place these ingredients on each plate, in order. Top with the Spaghetti Factory's Creamy Pesto dressing: *You could also make the Buttermilk Ranch dressing from a packet with the buttermilk and mayo it calls for and then add some canned good pesto which has garlic and parmesan cheese in it already.
1/2 c. mayo
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 tsp dried basil (make sure this is freshly purchased, not old)
1/4 tsp garlic powder (or fresh)
pinch salt
1/4 c. freshly, and finely grated Parmesan cheese
Combine everything in a bowl. Pour into an air-tight container and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Serve.
