WFPB Cool Summer Fruit Drinks
In Venezuela, where Pat served his mission, they regularly drank fruit that had been simply blended up in the blender to make a drink such as watermelon, cantelope, guava, passion fruit, mango, guanabana, papaya, tamarind, etc. (Occasionally they would mix water or milk in, and some sugar).
Blend up some seedless watermelon alone or with a bit of water, lime, and sugar for a refreshing summer drink! (If your watermelon had seeds, if won't harm you, but you can pour it through a fine mesh sieve to strain it if desired). Pat drank this all the time in Venezuela and loved when his companions didn't like it because then he'd get two!
We experimented with these fizzy drinks that have no sugar. The kids hated them, because of the no sugar, and I hated them because of the fizz, but they're great cold on a hot day. There's some fruit flavored water drinks without fizz.
