Softest White Bread or Dinner Rolls

Makes 4 loaves of bread or 2 extra large pans of rolls. The rolls great buns for a big tray of sandwiches or sliders. Turkey and Havarti cheese with mayo/mustard is delish!

1 c. warm water
3 Tbsp active dry yeast
1 Tbsp sugar

Let sit 10-15 minutes until it's all bloomed up. Then add:

2/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp salt (plus a bit more)
1/2 c. oil
3 c. warm water (not hot, you don't want to kill the yeast)
9-10 c. flour

Mix with a spoon and then knead until soft tacky but not sticky. Let rise 1 hour. Shape into loaves or rolls, adding more flour as needed to knead. Let rise another hour.

Bake 375 for rolls for 20-30 minutes or until browned, or 350 for approximately 30 minutes for bread.

This makes a lot. I usually do two loaves of bread, and a sheet of rolls. Don't forget to butter your pans before you put them in. You can brush more melted butter on their tops too if you like, before or after cooking. Super soft and delicious evil white bread.
