My sister and Evan both have birthdays in June and she happened to be visiting so we made them a Dora the Explorer cake. There was a path he had to take to get to the castle, but we only had those Legos for making a castle which didn't quite fit. Oh well.

This was a cake for when Evan was into Thomas the Train. We bought three new Thomas toys and used them to decorate the top. I like using toys to decorate because then they can keep the toys, and I didn't have to spend hours making things out of frosting.
This was supposed to be a messy pink cake for Sam's Harry Potter birthday (like the one Hagrid makes Harry). I was out of food coloring, so it just ended up being a chocolate cake. But it was a very fun Harry Potter birthday!

4th of July Flag cake
Cake I made for my friend Julie who cannot have any carbs at all. I should do this for my neighbor Warren! It had grapes under the strawberries, and a few nuts scattered here and there. I used toothpicks to hook the cheese sticks together in a circle, and it was not easy. By the time I got it filled with fruit and a bow around, I could give a sigh of relief. But once someone takes one, it'll all fall down!
Carrot Cake I made for my friend Andrea. She and Julie had a birthday party together and we had an awesome girls night with friends! I was just excited to make the cakes. No one ever requests my super-duper-excellent carrot cake so I haven't made it in years! Not stellar decorating that night, but oh well.
