Overnight Oats/Raw Oats in a Jar

Quick healthy breakfast. Just buy Muesli cereal mix, put a cup of it in a jar or cup, cover with almond milk, and let soak overnight. (can soak in any milk or yogurt, or kefir). When ready to eat, you can add in fresh cut banana if desired. Homemade recipe below


Raw Breakfast Oats (in a jar or cup)
½ c. rolled oats
¼ c. raisins or craisins (low sugar)
1 tsp chia seeds
¼ tsp cinnamon
pinch nutmeg
pinch salt
1/8 c. raw walnut pieces, raw pumpkin seeds, or raw almonds
1 c. nondairy milk (no sugar almond milk is my favorite)
¼ c. frozen blueberries, or other berries
big spoonful of diced bananas (add just before eating)


Place all ingredients through walnuts into a pint jar.  Cover with milk until about one inch above the ingredients and stir.  Add blueberries to sit on top of it and defrost overnight.  In the morning, pull out and stir together.  Add diced banana if desired.  The chia seeds absorb a lot of the liquid but I always like it to have enough milk to keep it thin-ish.  This is one of my favorite breakfasts and is especially great in the summertime!
