Garden Crostini or Tortilla Rolls (pinwheels)
Pinwheels made for a church social outside. Perfect snack when there are no outlets for crockpots. Keep cold! You can flavor the cream cheese however you like: hot sauce, green chili, etc. Add any meat you want. Endless combinations. I like to put this in my large round Tupperware. Always a hit!
This time I seasoned the cream cheese with chopped green onions, pepperoncini's, and Lawry's salt. Spread over tortilla, add thin sliced ham, and roll tightly.
Garden Crostini (or Tortilla Rolls)
Baguette, sliced
6 oz cream cheese
2 oz sour cream
3 Tbsp finely chopped basil
2 Tbsp finely chopped scallions (green onions)
1 Tbsp finely chopped parsley
1 small carrot shredded finely
salt and pepper
Whip together ingredients desired and spread on baguette slices that have been cut thin and toasted. You may also spread this mixture on a tortilla, roll, and slice into pinwheels. You must roll it tight or it will fall apart and not look right.
